Magazine Editorial

Premium Publishers & Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association

Tales & Trails is a regional magazine that prints 50,000 copies twice a year, offering two seasonal publications, an autumn/winter and a spring/summer.

The magazine is a ‘free to take home’ tangible keepsake for visitors to the region, offering inspirational articles and practical guides.

As content producer and editor of the magazine, I work with the Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association, the Margaret River Wine Association, the Undalup Association and local government bodies, to ensure that the magazine provides content that is sensitive to the environment and respects the region’s traditional owners - the Wadandi Pibulmun people.

As well as devising the story plan, I manage the team of writers and designers and also contribute to articles myself. All articles are repurposed on margaretriver.com, giving them a further platform to reach audiences in the dreaming or planning stages of travel.

Tales & Trails won Highly Commended in the Mumbrella Travel Publication of the Year Awards 2022 above industry peers QANTAS Insider and Perth is OK, with We are Explorers taking out the big gong.

Tales & Trails can be read here.

I also produce professional, polished written work across many styles including journalistic, academic, scripted, corporate and promotional.

Prospectus

Hoi An International School

As the Marketing Director of Hoi An International School (HAIS), I spearheaded the ideation and production of the school's first-ever Prospectus. The initiative aimed to provide prospective parents with a comprehensive understanding of the educational offerings at HAIS. The prospectus encapsulated the overarching narrative of our school teaching philosophies, curriculums, and unique location.

I planned the order of contents and wrote the entire prospectus which conveyed information and evoked emotion that would resonate with our target audience, (high income families in the Hoi An / Da Nang catchment). I also incorporated QR codes, which linked to further information about the learning sectors, providing an interactive experience for the reader.

The production involved close collaboration with my designer and Vietnamese translator to ensure a visually appealing layout and dual language to align with the HAIS brand identity.

This project required clear planning, creativity, and careful communication with the leadership team and learning leads. It was a critical piece in our marketing efforts, providing a tangible and informative resource for prospective parents.
